Keeping connected to God - Being connected to our world

Lent bible studies - 2016

We have chosen to run a series of studies during Lent based on a book called Paradoxology by Krish Kandiah which was published by Hodder & Stoughton in 2014:  ISBN 978 1 444 74536 8    eBook ISBN 978 1 444 74535 1. An introduction to the thinking behind the writing of this book can be viewed on YouTube here.

There are six weeks of study notes derived from the first six chapters of the book which can be downloaded as pdf files using the following links. Please use these as notes for individual or group study, it is not necessary to have read the book but it does help, it is an interesting and challenging read.

Week 1    The Abraham Paradox:   The God who needs nothing, but asks for everything.
Week 2    The Moses Paradox:   The God who is far away, so close.
Week 3    The Joshua Paradox:   The God who is terribly compassionate.
Week 4    The Job Paradox:   The God who is actively inactive.
Week 5    The Hosea Paradox:   The God who is faithful to the unfaithful.
Week 6    The Habakkuk Paradox:   The God who is consistently unpredictable.
