MID-WEEK EVENTS

In addition to our Sunday services, we have a wide range of activities for people of all ages.

Small Groups

Our Small Groups meet at various times during the week, in person or online, for friendship, prayer and bible study. We encourage all church members to join a small group if possible: if you are interested, please contact the Parish Office.

Thursday Club

Thursday Club is usually held 1:45 pm – 3.30 pm on the first Thursday afternoon of the month in the lounge at the far end of the church hall. We occasionally welcome interesting guest speakers and share songs and stories, but it is a time for encouragement, friendship, tea and cake.

All welcome, although it mainly caters for somewhat older members.

Please see the church diary to confirm the next meeting date.

Tots Club

There is a warm welcome for mums, dads or carers and young children, in the hall on Fridays during term time, 1:00 pm – 2:45 pm.

No need to book – just turn up.

We welcome a donation of £1.

Seekers’ Group – 3 2 1

Every now and then we run a small group for people who want to explore Christian faith in a friendly and unthreatening environment, sometimes over a meal. Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested in finding out more. (Enquiring won’t commit you to anything!)

Prayer Breakfast

We meet for a Prayer Breakfast on the first Saturday of each month at 8:30 am, alternating between the church lounge and Ozzie’s Diner in Cotmandene Crescent.

Breakfast at church consists of a selection of cereals, fresh rolls or toast with a range of jams and spreads, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Ozzie’s Diner provides the opportunity to purchase cooked breakfasts.

After enjoying a relaxed chat over breakfast, we spend some time in informal prayer for each other, the needs of friends and family, our community and world situations.

We are usually finished by 9:45 – 10:00 am.

Everyone is welcome to join us.

Healing on the Streets

Several people from St Barnabas church are part of the Healing on the Streets team for Churches Together in the Crays.  Every third Saturday in the month from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in Cotmandene Crescent, near the Dental Surgery, the team offers prayer for healing and wholeness to anyone in our local community who wishes to take advantage of the offer.

If you would like to receive a prayer of blessing or for any specific need, please stop and chat to the team and they will be happy to pray with you.

Community Fridge

The Community Fridge is part of a project coordinated by Transform Bromley Borough and aims to distribute fresh food and groceries from the shops and  supermarkets who are part of the scheme, which would otherwise be wasted. The food is free and available at our church on Saturday mornings on a first-come-first-served basis, with the doors opening at 9:30 am. All welcome.

Please look at our Community Fridge page.
