Activities for Children & Young People

There are a variety of different activities for our children and young people during the week and everyone is welcome.

Details and updates can be found on our social media feeds: or     St Barnabas Cray Youth or email Jen Coleman:

Our children and young people begin the service in church and leave for their own activities just before the first Bible reading. They normally come back into church at the end of the service, but on those Sundays when Holy Communion is being celebrated they return in time for communion.

Splash Kids is our Sunday morning group for children from age 3-10. It takes place during our service in our church hall.

Splash Kids is a very friendly group and always welcomes new children. We have two leaders in with the children. Parents/carers of children from 3-5 stay with their children for the session and parents/carers of older children are very welcome to stay with them if they wish.

The purpose of Splash Kids is to help children learn more about God by exploring a different part of the Bible each week through the use of games, crafts, puppets, drama and a variety of other activities.

Lighthouse is our Sunday morning group for young people from the age of 11yrs and upwards.

It addresses the challenges of living as a Christian in our world today and is an opportunity for lively discussions.

Crays Youth Bike Project is run by St Barnabas Cray Church with the support of our community partners.

The Bike Project aims to give local young people an opportunity to maintain and recycle bikes.

Each group will last 6 weeks and the young person will be able to keep the bike that they have been working on.

We hope that after those 6 weeks the young person may continue to join us to help others and also use our tools for repairing their own bikes.
